Idealism in the modern, adult world is as rare as a diamond nowadays.  Where upholding one’s values and standing up for one’s principles are no longer popular but a grave sin in this era, a leader is constantly faced with a challenge – which direction to follow.  Is he treading on a road less travelled same with just a number of those seated in power or is he setting on a journey, which many of those complacent and manipulated have incessantly and pleasurably taken?

My personal involvement to politics started way back when I was young.  Having witnessed my father served as a city councilor, my aspiration of following his footstep was never far-fetched.  This deep yearning to be an agent of change, to lead in the progress of the community and to empower the helpless in an anxiety-driven society eventually catapulted me to a position close enough from that of what I, in the long run desired – Punong Barangay.

The tasks delegated to me as a Punong Baangay of Barangay Seven (7) has proven to be very demanding but extremely rewarding on one hand.  My duty as Barangay Kagawad for nine (9) consecutive years barely commensurate to my present function as the Barangay Chairman because of the numerous duties the government invokes on me as a leader and manager of the council and community.  Albeit my past position aided me with the responsibilities attached to my position in the office now, there are lots of discoveries and revelations that once never had a major impact on me.  And without previous records to rely unto, my office had to start from the scratch.  Rather than considering it as a drawback, we took it as a challenge.  It was a battlefield where “we came, we saw and we conquered.”

Transparency, being our primary objective, serves as our guiding principle.  We owe to the constituents our success; hence, they deserve to be informed of the present status of the government and what lies ahead.  This website is an attestation that we want our constituents to be INFORMED, TO BE AWARE AND TO BE ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

Such as it is still early to tell what we have made to the lives of our constituents, it is enough to say that the administration has done its part as ”crisis leaders, information champions and anti-street crime czars.”

Where idealism is detested, we remain to espouse what is true. 

Where patriotism is shunned, we continue to believe in the acts of heroism.

Above all, where honesty is abhorred, we claim transparency.

We lovingly embrace all the criticisms and welcome any change for the common good and for GOD’S GREATER GLORY.
